The walk from the hotel
Walk down past Sirkeci station towards the water and along to Eminönü square; the bazaar's L-shaped hall stands behind the New Mosque (Yeni Cami). Of the old city's famous markets, it is the nearest to our door.

Before you go
Unlike the Grand Bazaar, the Spice Bazaar usually opens on Sundays too, though it closes on some religious holidays. Besides spices it sells Turkish delight, dried fruit, nuts and tea. The tiled Rüstem Paşa Mosque is a few minutes' walk behind it, and the Bosphorus ferries leave from the Eminönü piers in front.
