Contemporary Istanbul, the city's international contemporary art fair, returns for its 21st edition from 23 to 27 September 2026 at Tersane Istanbul, the restored shipyard on the Golden Horn, with more than 70 galleries from 24 countries.

Where to stay

Tersane Istanbul is about ten minutes from Sirkeci by taxi, or reachable by the Golden Horn ferry from Karaköy. From the old city you can pair the fair with the museums of Sultanahmet in the morning and the galleries of Karaköy and Beyoğlu in the evening.

Getting there from the hotel

The quickest way is a taxi: about 10 minutes via the Galata or Atatürk Bridge in light traffic. By public transport, cross the Galata Bridge to Karaköy and take the Haliç ferry to Kasımpaşa (10 minutes; roughly hourly on weekdays), then walk about 1.2 km, or use the free shuttle from Şişhane metro station (M2).
