Istanbul hosts the fourth European Games from 16 to 27 June 2027, with the European Athletics Team Championships inside the programme. Events are spread across the city over twelve days, so where you sleep matters more than for a single match.
Where to stay
Sirkeci is the one district that connects to everything: Marmaray runs under the Bosphorus to the Asian side, the T1 tram crosses the old city, and the ferries leave from Eminönü a few minutes away. A twelve-day stay here means no district is out of reach — and the historic peninsula is outside your door on rest days.
Getting there from the hotel
Walk about 50 m to Sirkeci Marmaray, ride to Yenikapı, change to the M1B metro to Kirazlı, then the M3 to Olimpiyat — the stadium is the last stop.
